Now, while the world might be burning up with the hot, white-blue flame of a bunson dumpster wrapped in butane fuels and, simultaneously, dipping into the crowning point of the New Deluge and its cousin coming Ice Age, we here troubled spirits of "THE" IBW are keeping our heads super high and our mind's as right as all that rain washing out what used to be just metaphorical waves of grain.

It's a heady juggling act maintaining a modicum of sanity in a world gone mad, but one of our most effective techniques we like to apply around here in the hallowed halls of our humble beer jalopy is to wring every last bit of Fun off the proverbial Buns we've been given.

And, because we're such amiably creeps, we find ourselves obligated to share that there golden extraction with all you strange people.

And, well, here's what we've got dripping off our sticky fingers this week...

We're all very excited for ALICE IN ILLUMINATED, our immersive costume party themed after the classic book of puzzles "Alice in Wonderland". WAX DISASTERS will be providing the sounds. Bre's Chibakes is bringing the sweet, delicious baked thingies. There will be games and costume contests. And, oh yes, don't miss the hookah smoking Caterpillar!

There is a kid-friendly version of this happening from 4pm-6pm. So, if you want to bring your kids around to hang out and play, come on by between 4-6. After that, we can make no assurances of what our ragtag collection of knuckleheads will be up to, but it's probably not super kid friendly. Ok? Ok!

Saturday March 21st during the day you can come hang out with other Bulldog buddies and raise some money for a great cause!

And then at night enjoy free live music from Chicago's VACANCY CHAIN as they celebrate the release of their newest EP. IMPULSIVE HEARTS and 1/2 of FUZZBOX DJs are opening the gambit. The flyer above says the show starts at 7pm but it really doesn't. That's a bald face lie! A mere fabricated truth that won't hold water to our already water-drenched reality. But, you know what, come by at 7p anyway and drink for 2 hours before the bands start. You'll enjoy everything so much more!

Sunday afternoon, you can let John Vernon Forbes milk your thirst teets with fresh beer while GARY CAMARO puts his very bad ideas into your head with his very fine melodies. Gary will begin the ceremony around 4:30pm.

On Tuesday, March 24th, all you THE SIMPSONS NERDS can come gather round and bring your teams along with you for a very special TUESDAY NIGHT TRIVIA that is 100% THE SIMPSONS themed. Win cool THE SIMPSONS memorabilia and go to the mat against other friendly maniacs. Wear a costume and win yourself some (usually much needed) bonus points.
