THIS WEEKEND AT IBW LODGE #1!!!

It's been mighty cold out here in Chicago! So cold you can set your heart attack to it. Or so I hear.  Who knows what these crazy kids will come up with next on TikTok, you know?

There's two grand events this weekend at the lodge:

If you're asking yourself what the heck a Super Secret Movie Club-13 is then I guess that means it's doing its job.

There will be a screening! It will be hosted by @Superfist! He'll be wearing a jacket! There will be a presentation before the pick but we can't tell you what the pick is until that moment or else it wouldn't be much of a Super Secret, would it?! No cover and no membership dues but tipping the host is encouraged and appreciated!

"Will you at least give us hints?" (I imagine someone's befuddled but wanting to have a great time brain asking). Heck yeah, we will!

Chris does an incredible job with these SSMC13's. If you're a movie hog at all this is a great way to spend your Friday. What's better than getting swervy watching a great movie with other movie nerds? Well, right, but other than screwing, this is pretty, pretty good.

And then, on Saturday, we've got another FREE! LIVE! SHOW!

BEASTIE BOYS & DEAD MILKMEN COVER BAND, SUPER SECRE MOVIE CLUB

It's the Holiday onslaught once again!!

You've got parties at your Office.

You've got parties with your friends.

You've got obligations with family.

You've got obligations to your self.

It's a LOT, let's be fair. And we're almost mostly half-way through all of this at this point.

To help you celebrate your fine achievements of self, we've got a couple great events planned to help you further spread yourself thin AND have an amazing memorable time.

That's right, this Friday we've got POW and Crystal Shit playing sets for our Holiday Party.

POW plays all the best funk instrumental Beastie Boys songs and Crystal Shit plays, you guessed it, your favorite Dead Milkmen songs!

As with all of our events and shows at IBW Lodge #1, this Holiday Madness is 100% free of cover charge!

And then SATURDAY DECEMBER 20TH at 8pm we're hosting the first SUPER SECRET HORROR MOVIE CLUB at our place. Here's more information on that should you need it. The evening begins at 8pm. DON'T MISS IT.

We've got other great events coming up later in the month, like a CLOWN COSTUME PARTY FOR NYE!! We're bringing the TWISTED BALLOON from the greatest Alcoholic Clown Movie Of All Time "SHAKES THE CLOWN!" to strange-smelling and vibrant life! And NOVEMBER is doing a GENRE FLUID DJ SET to get all you clowns out of your seats and dancing.

WHISTLEMANIA and Free Live Shows at IBW Lodge #1!

We've got another Whistlemania tonight at 6pm, Food Truck and all. This one is also a Toy Drive for kids whose homes have been busted up by the Feds.

And then the rest of this week we've got FREE live music each night.

THURSDAY we've got live Jazz from some beatnik jazz-bo's. I wish I knew their name, but I sure don't. But I do know that, if you dig that jazz kind of thing, you're gonna be real happy. And it's free, so, I mean, what do you have to lose?

FRIDAY, we've got Tim Midyet's (Silkworm, Bottomless Pit) new outfit, MINT MILE along with some real sketchy dudes from Ohio. This is gonna be a killer show. If you know, you know. If you don't, then just take my unminced word for it.

SATURDAY we've got a real sick-o playing here. Juan, an OG Illuminated creep from the way-back, is playing and he has asked that I demand everyone's attendance. His band is the DGNR8RS and they be reaallll nice. Natalie Lynch is playing too. And, come one, she's great! There's another band, too. And the whole damn thing is FREE. Freer than you and freer than me.
