Please accept my many hairy and scalable excuses for not deploying a long-winded and mind-altering email any time in the recent past. I've been busier than a lazy, aging and corpulent man-child really prefers to be and, when this happens, something must suffer. And, after long debate, we decided that it should be you that suffers.
But, fret less! With the holidays staring up our proverbial skirts there is a strong chance of me holing up from the (I assume) impending cold and scrawling a new screed or two of vaguely sense-making reportage for you lovely monkeys to roll and smoke upon.

It's a big weekend for your troubled friends at ILLUMINATED BREW WORKS!
We've got our 2 Year Anniversary party today from 3p - 10pm. We'll be drinking beers and high-fiving and howling at whatever's left of the moon all day.
The fan-favorite DUNK TANK is back in full effect giving you ample opportunity to dunk Jason and Molly. We've got a couple other fun carny games as well, upgrades from last year to be sure. Come try your skill, win some tickets and trade them in for priceless space inflatables and other strange and temporarily amusing junk.
The Bumbu Roux food truck will be here serving their wonderful blend of Cajun/Creole and Indonesian faire starting around 5:30pm as well!

We now have on permanent residence the STRANGER THINGS pinball machine and a vintage 720* from back in ye olde 1980's. If you're old enough to remember the '80s then you're likely to remember 720*. it's the one where you skate around a city under a terrible amount of construction while being chased by bees and having god scream at you SKATE OR DIIIIIEEE!! Good times.
Our brewers, the ever-expanding Bucky and the lovely and talented Dave, as well as many of the most beautiful parts of our little space jalopy stocked with beer made it onto the local Fox News affiliate on Thursday. Can you believe it's already been 2 years since we moved into our humble little Norwood Park location? 2 years of delicious beers and Trivia Nights and Murder Bingos and parties and St. Patricks and Food Trucks and Pig Roasts and not to mention all of those WHATHAVEYOUS and suches and sundries and whatnots.
2 years of making friends and sharing belly laughs and wondering just what the hell is going on in the world. 2 years of getting older, getting rounder and 2 years of getting down to the business of getting down to business.
But, alas, 2 years it's been. Or about 24 years in medium-sized dog year's according to the American Veterinary Medical Association. And so, by hook or by crook, we are obliged to celebrate. And celebrate we will.
Next Saturday, September 23rd from a little after 3pm until a little after 10pm we'll be drinking beers and high-fiving and howling at whatever's left of the moon at that point. And we hope you'll join us.
