Ed's Legs Bottle Release @ Madison Vine & Kaiser Tiger Tomorrow

Tomorrow night we'll be celebrating our first bottle release!

Ed's Legs is an American Saison made with flaked barley and American & Australian hops.  The result is an insanely drinkable beer with hints of pear and citrus.

We're stoked about it and want you to be a part of the celebration.

To start the evening we'll be at Madison Vine Wines at Madison & Ada in the West Loop providing free samples of the beer from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.  There will be bottles available for sale there as well if you want to take some home with you.

At 8:00pm we'll make our way over to Kaiser Tiger where Ed's Legs will be on tap.  We'll have a bocce ball tournament and there will be popcorn avaialable made in the world's only fire breathing popcorn machine (I would guess, anyway).

And, in case you are curious, all of this is to help build excitement for this weekend's West Loop Craft Beer Festival.  40 breweries and West Loop food vendors all gathering outside to celebrate the best neighborhood in Chicago.  Get your tickets here!

We're looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow night!

The Red Eye Picks IBW/TDS Brunch for the Weekend

Thanks to everyone who came out to Fountainhead last night, we did indeed shoot the moon.

And we're not done yet.  The Red Eye listed our Sunday Brunch at Table, Donkey & Stick as one of the top things to do in the city this weekend!!

There's still a few seats left. If you want to grab a ticket go here.

We couldn't be more excited about the menu Chef Scott put together:

  • Charcuterie Board paired w/ Holy Mountain (Table Beer)
  • Gravlax & Roe with a lemon cream sauce paired w/ Orange Sunshine (Citrus Saison)
  • Blood Sausage Biscuits & Gravy paired w/ Brown Reason to Live (Belgian Brown)
  • Chocolate Rhubarb Crepes with Creme Fraiche paired w/ Templeton Rye Barrel Aged Black Maw

All of this for $50.  $5 from every ticket goes to La Casa Norte, a Humboldt Park organization that supports youths and families affected by homeless.  Get your tickets here.

There's nothing better to do on a Saturday in Chicago in the Spring than drink outside.  The only way you could punch that up more is to start before noon.  Which is exactly what you can do at the Welles Park Festival and after party take over of the Grafton & Mash on Saturday.  Without very much planning you could concievably clock over 12 solid hours of drinking at at least 3 locations.  Men have been knighted for lesser things.

And, last but assuredly far from least, we are stoked to be a part of Local Option's "The Day After" event.  Let the best beer bar in the country put the final nail in your Craft Beer Week.
